Time to fill gallons = 10 minutes

Debits = volume / time

= 64,000 cm³ / 10 minutes

= 6,400 cm³ / minute

The dam is opened in the morning = 2 hours

The dam is opened in the afternoon = 2 hours

Discharge in the morning = 600 liters / minute

Discharge in the afternoon = 450 liters / minute

= morning volume + evening volume

= (2 hours x 600 liters / minute) + (2 hours x 450 liters / minute)

= (120 minutes x 600 liters / minute) + (120 minutes x 450 liters / minute)

Tub-shaped bathtub

The length of the tub = 150 cm

The width of the tub = 120 cm

Bathtub height = 100 cm

Bathtub volume = p x l x t

= 150 cm x 120 cm x 100 cm

= 1,800,000 cm³

= 1,800 liters

Time to fill the bath = 30 minutes

Debits = volume / time

= 1,800 liters / 30 minutes

= 3,600 liters / hour

4. Known:

Number of water reservoirs = 2 pieces

The volume of each water reservoir = 7,200 liters of water

The discharge of the water pump turned on by Budi = 120 liters / minute

The discharge of the water pump turned on by Andi = 4,800 liters / hour.

Time needed for the water pump that Budi has turned on

= Volume: discharge

= 7,200 liters: 120 liters / minute

= 60 minutes

= 1 hour

The time needed for the water pump that Andi has lit.

= 7,200 liters: 4,800 liters / hour

= 1.5 hours

So the fastest filled water reservoir is the one whose pump is turned on by Budi.

5. Known:

Volume of swimming pool = 90,000 liters

Number of water pumps used = 2 water pumps

Discharge per water pump = 15,000 liters / hour

Then the total time needed to drain the water until it runs out

= Volume: discharge

= 90,000 liters: (2 x 15,000 liters / hour)

= 90,000 liters: 30,000 liters / hour

= 3 hours
